Where is The Pop Up Farm?

The Pop Up Farm is located in Hertfordshire on the A5183 / M1 Junction 9 (Harpenden) roundabout. We are the first exit off the roundabout after the M1 sliproad.

We are heavily signposted, so should be easy to find.

We are 30 miles north of London, 12 miles north of Watford, 26 miles south of Milton Keynes and 5 miles south of Luton.

When is The Pop Up Farm open?

The Pop Up Farm Pumpkin Patch is open during September and October on the following dates:

30th September & 1st October

7th & 8th October

14th to 31st October

We are open between 9.30am and 5.30pm for Day Tickets and on selected dates from 6pm to 8.30pm for Evening Tickets.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Your visit must be pre-booked through our website or via our Facebook page. You have 60 minutes from the start of your timed arrival slot to enter. You will not be admitted if you arrive early or late. Once inside you may stay as long as you like Online ticket sales only, no tickets are available on the day.

Can I buy tickets online?

All tickets to The Pop Up Farm are online only. No tickets are available on the gate, all tickets must be purchased online in advance of arrival.

Can I buy tickets on the gate?

No. Tickets are NOT available on the gate. All tickets must be purchased online before your arrival. Please check our website’s Day and Evening tickets pages for availability.

How much is a ticket?

Tickets are between £3.25 and £4.95 per person.

Free entry for children under 2 years.

Can I change my booking once I've purchased tickets?

Tickets may be exchanged subject to availability up to 48 hours prior to your original booking and will incur a £1 admin fee. Exchanges are carried out by our ticketing supplier TicketSource and are not provided by The Pop Up Farm. TicketSource can be contacted on support@ticketsource.co.uk or 029 2071 3205 between 9am-7pm Monday to Friday and 9am-5pm on Saturday. Our full Terms & Conditions can be viewed here.

Can I pay with card?

Yes. The Pop Up Farm is 100% cashless, so we do not accept cash payments. All major credit cards accepted (no AMEX).

Do children need a ticket?

Yes. Children 2 years and over require a child’s ticket. Children under 2 years are free to enter, but still require a ticket, which can be obtained during the online booking process.

Do I need to print my ticket and time reservation?

Please make sure you have your tickets ready on arrival, either on your phone or printed. A team member will ‘zap’ your QR code and direct you to a parking spot. If you do not have your tickets at hand, you will be directed to a separate car park and your entry will be delayed. Please do not get out of your car until your tickets have been zapped.

Is car parking free?

Yes. Parking is free and you will be guided to a spot by our car parking team on arrival. Please follow the marked roadways and tracks.

Can I get a refund if it's raining?

Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds if you are no longer able to visit. We are open in all weathers unless we’ve been instructed by our insurers to close because of dangerous conditions. In this instance we will provide full refunds.

How long would you recommend for a visit?

People generally stay at The Pop Up Farm between 1 – 3 hours. Once you have arrived, you may stay as long as you like. The site will close at 5.30pm and you are politely requested to leave by then. On selected dates we will also be open from 6pm to 8.30pm and again, you are politely requested to leave by then. 

What should I wear?

The Pop Up Farm is an outdoor venue. The ground may be muddy if we have had recent rain. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear, plus it may be beneficial to bring an umbrella if rain is forecast.

Is The Pop Up Farm under cover?

The Pop Up Farm is an outdoor venue. There is limited cover in our Red Shed.

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry, dogs are not allowed, with the exception of registered guide and assistance dogs.

Is smoking allowed?

No. Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere on site.

Are there food facilities at The Pop Up Farm?

The Pit Stop Cafe will be open and selling hot and cold drinks, bacon rolls, hot dogs, vegan and vegetarian options and sweet snacks. Card payments only. No outside drinks, food or picnics allowed.

Can I bring a picnic?

No. Picnics or outside food and drinks are not allowed.

Are there first aid facilities?

Yes. There will be a qualified first aider on site. Identify yourself to a team member wearing a hi-vis vest and we will assist you.

Is The Pop Up Farm accessible by wheelchairs, push chairs or people with limited mobility?

The Pop Up Farm is appropriate for most wheelchairs. Please be aware the ground will be uneven. We have disabled parking close to the entrance, please ask on arrival. There is limited indoor seating inside our Red Shed. We have a buggy and push chairs park for those wanting to wheel their toddlers in a wheelbarrow.

Are there toilets and baby changing facilities?

There are port-a-loos on site which will be cleaned and sanitised regularly. There is also an outdoor baby changing area, but please take your child’s used nappies home.

Do you have special arrangements for professional photographers?

Yes. All Professional Photographers must pay the Professional Photographer Ticket for entry into The Pop Up Farm. These tickets can be purchased from this page. This does not include a ticket for your subject(s) even if you travel to the patch in the same car. Subject tickets can be purchased from the our Day and Evening tickets pages. The Pop Up Farm reserves the right to determine if your shoot is of a commercial/professional nature and you will be asked to register and pay the Professional Photographer ticket if you haven’t done so already.

Can I fly my drone at The Pop Up Farm?

No. Drones and flares are strictly prohibited.
